TRAINING COURSE OVERVIEW
Admission Requirements
- Communication and Mathematical literacy at NQF Level 3
All businesses need to understand the logistical processes, how COID operates, how the registration system works, and the applicable tariffs. COID is there to safeguard workers when injured and ensure that businesses support their compensation by paying their tariffs.
The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) 130 of 1993 sets out the legal requirements for tariffs, compensation, and the limitations for claims for workers who are injured or contract diseases while they’re at work.
This training programme unpacks the benefits to employers and employees of the COIDA. It further describes the procedures to claim compensation and complete the necessary documentation.
Upon completing the programme, the delegates will be able to:
- Describe the current, relevant legislation
- Describe the compensation procedure
- Compete compensation commissioner documentation
Programme Outline:
- Overview of the COIDA Legislation
- Compensation Procedures
- Administration and Training
